The inspiration for this project with Baoba developments was a modern free standing stove in the family/living room to go through a sedum, living eco-roof. 

The property was a modern new build with a passive air system, we had to source a stove that had no air that came from the outside in, the air was to come directly to the stove which we incorporated through the floors in build process.

On surveying the build, the technical considerations (the air supply built into the concrete floors before completion), were able to be planned with the main contractors early into the project.

We needed to protect the wall behind, so designed a marble panel from floor to ceiling, creating a feature element in the room.

The key feature for the project was the Piko, wood burning stove from Spartherm, specifically chosen due to the high quality of the unit and it not needing to draw air from the room.
